WatchDog

Watchdog is a device connected to a computer that controls the functioning of programmes. When the system is not functioning Watchdog restarts the computer. This is done in the same manner as if the user had pressed the reset button. The device can control the functioning of up to four programmes. It also has two connectors for alarms. Example of such an alarm is when we want to prevent unauthorised access to computer's hardware. On computer's casing we mount a switch and when someone opens casing the switch connects and turns on the alarm.
